Love, love their food. However, it’s a cash only restaurant and the lady tells this to you before seating you. We were confident that we had enough cash. Unfortunately, our bills were already outdated, no longer in circulation. lol. Fortunately, there’s an ATM nearby or we would have to wash dishes. will defo come back as Angel is near where I usually crash during my visits to London.
[Please note that this place only takes cash] Came by on a Friday evening without a booking and the upstairs was very busy, but luckily they were able to seat us downstairs. The staff is super friendly and efficient. Service is very quick, from ordering drinks and food to having it all on the table hardly took more than 15 minutes and they served the dishes as they were ready. Having been here a few times before, it makes for a perfect lunch, and equally it’s a great place for dinner. Although it’s very quick service, it does not feel rushed, rather it comes across as attentive. The food is absolutely delicious. We had the spring rolls as a starter, which was crispy and tasty, Pepper Duck, Beef Stew (which was super tasty, but recommended to have with rice to soak up the sauce), and Bun Cha. All being absolutely delicious, however, the Beef Stew was on the more oily end, but nothing that made it stick out as unappetising. All in all, a great place for Vietnamese food if you’re in the Angel area. Will certainly keep coming back!
The BEST vegan food you’ve ever had. I’ve been coming here for years due to the massive vegan selection, the vegan mango fish is out of this world. The vegan scallops are to die for. Such a great choice of foods. And such good prices. Starters, mains, rice and cocktails came to 29 each! Love love love
Decent selection of vegetarian/vegan items on their menu. Ordered 3, and all of them were flavorful and yummy. Portions were decent for the prices in today’s time. Would love to come back again to explore more of their menu.
So many great vegan options! There is so so much to choose from. The staff were super friendly and helped us pick things they thought we would like. Everything tasted fresh and flavourful. We tried the vegan starter platter - the salt and pepper mock chicken is amazing. Also had the vegan pho which was perfect. Would definitely go back to try more of the menu.
This is a Cash only place. Delicious food with loads of vegan options. I had the vegan chicken cashew and vegan fried rice which was so yummy. My friend had the vegan tofu Bun sa salad which she loved. The ambience is fantastic as the decor is super inviting. We both had the blossoming tea: oriental beauty which was green tea, marigold and jasmine. It was lush and fun to watch the flower blossom. Staff are attentive and friendly.
Very good independent Vietnamese restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, and I heartily recommend the chicken wings as they were a lovely unique take on them. The betel beef rolls were also delicious. All the dishes that we had were really good. Lemon and kumquat drink was lovely and extremely refreshing! All the food was very reasonably priced. Staff were extremely efficient and also friendly. Only thing I would say is it’s a small restaurant so prepare to be packed in close to other people.
Great lunch and pho (light coloured soup with ginger and meat flavour). 9.50 10% SC is good value. The place was quiet today it could be because they accept cash only. No issues for me it was clearly stated at the shop and it was mentioned to me before ordering.
